• Host, on a rotating basis along with Milt Rosenberg and Jerry Tolbert, of Extension 720 during the early 1970s.
• Produced, narrated or starred in a variety of award-winning radio and television shows, as well as wrote a newspaper column.
• Vice President for Public Affairs for First National Bank of Chicago.
• His father, Norman Ross Sr. was also a significant Chicago radio host. Norman Ross Jr. took over the hosting duties after his father's sudden death in 1953.
